Creel: Creel is called the holder of cone. Cone is placed in a creel for feeding the yarn to the feeder.

VDQ Pulley: G.S.M of the knit fabric is controlled by VDQ pulley. VDQ pulley is used for controlling the stitch length of the fabric.
Guide: Guide is called the supporting element. Guide is used to guide the yarn.
Sensor: Sensor is an automatic controlling system. When a yarn pass through this sensor than if any yarn break down or any problem occur than it automatically stop by this sensoring system.
Cylinder: Cylinder is the main parts of a knitting machine. Adjustment of a cylinder is important. Cylinder carries needle, sinker, cam and many more.
Spreader: Spreader is used to spread the knitted fabric before take up roller. Knit fabrics may be tube or open type. Spreader is adjusted as need.
Fixation Feeder: This type of feeder is used in electrical auto striper knitting machine to feed the yarn at specific finger.
Rethom: Rethom is used in electrical auto stripper knitting machine.

Structure of Circular Open Top Machine

Circular open top machine is a type of circular weft knitting machine. It is mainly used to knit single jersey. It is called as circular open top machine because of many triangle looping systems. Circular open top machine adopts latch needle, having high production efficiency.

Weaving structure of circular open top machine is equipped with sinkers. When needles insert into cylinder, cylinder rotates relative to needle triangle. When needle butt passing through needle passages of needle triangle, needles move up and down. When sinkers insert into ring groove, ring of sinkers consolidate with cylinder. Then grooves will be separated from each other, arranging needles and sinkers alternatively. Rings of sinkers rotate relative to sinkers triangles. When heel pieces of sinkers pass through sinkers triangles, sinkers move in radial direction. When needles rise, throat pieces of sinkers hold old loops for clearing. When needles descend, sinkers quit. Needles grapple new yarns and shelve yarns on chins of sinkers for kinking and looping. Then, sinkers propel for traction.

Needle triangle of circular open top machine is classified into single needle passage and multi needle passages. Single needle passage circular open top machine only uses a type of latch needles while multi needle passages circular open top machine utilizes various needles with different height of needle butts. Those needle butts move in their own needle passages. Needles insert into cylinder based on definite configuring sequence. Needle passages of triangle are configured for looping, non looping or tuck stitch.

Categories of Circular Knitting Machine

Circular knitting machine is classified into single circular knitting machine and double circular knitting machine.

1.Single circular knitting machine
1.1)General circular knitting machine: General circular knitting machine has many loops, high rotate speed and output. In China, it is also called as open-top circular knitting machine. General circular knitting machine includes single needle passages, double needle passages, triple needle passages, four needle passages and six needle passages. 1.4)Single jacquard machine: Single jacquard machine has two types: mechanical jacquard machine and computer jacquard machine. Mechanical jacquard machine includes disc chuck jacquard machine, plectrum jacquard machine, drum jacquard machine. Computer jacquard machine contains line single jacquard machine, computer jacquard machine, computer line jacquard machine.

2.Double circular knitting machine
2.1)General double circular knitting machine: General double circular knitting machine contains (2+2) needle passages, (2+4) needle passages and (4+4) needle passages three types. (2+4) needle passages are the most commonly adopted. Two needle passages are on dial and four needle passages are on cylinder. General double circular knitting machine is also called as interlock machine, multifunction machine or all powerful knitting machine. Multifunction machine is the most welcomed.
2.2)Rib knitting machine: Rib knitting machine includes (1+1) needle passages, (2+2) needle passages, (2+4) needle passages and (4+4) needle passages four types. Most of corporations adopt (2+2) needle passages rib knitting machine, so as to transfer rib knitting machine. The machine is mainly used to knit T-shirt.
2.3)Double jacquard machine: Double jacquard machine includes mechanical jacquard machine and computer jacquard machine two types. Mechanical jacquard machine includes disc chuck jacquard machine, plectrum jacquard machine, drum jacquard machine. Computer jacquard machine contains line single jacquard machine, computer jacquard machine, computer line jacquard machine. Categories of Single Knitting Machine

Single knitting machine only uses bottom dial needle and needle leaf to knit. Single knitting machine is classified into plain machine, French terry machine, towel machine, messenger wire machine, automatic plain machine and jacquard machine.

5.Automatic plain machine
Automatic plain machine is classified into computer automatic plain machine and mechanical automatic plain machine in further. 1.Exchange between single knitting machine and double knitting machine
In general, single knitting machine needs sinker to assist needle clearing and bending yarns into circular. However, it is difficult for conventional double knitting machine knitting rightly without sinker when it is used to knit single fabrics. Currently, there are two solutions. One is that double knitting machines are equipped with channeling triangle. When top needles are knitting, upper needles erect outside and return before yarn laying. The top needles are regarded as sinker pressing on the old loops of lower needles when bottom needles rising for clearing in case of old loops rising with needle. The other one is more effective solution. Double knitting machine is equipped with sinker to assist needles looping. So, when the machine is knitting double fabrics, the needles initiate automatically without dossal. The machine can recover knitting easily if press-off happens or large hole appears. When it is knitting single fabrics, the machine can utilize sinker to assist needle clearing and bending yarns into circular just like single knitting machine to realize the exchange between single knitting machine and double knitting machine.

2.Exchange of structure of single knitting machine
Based on different categories of knitted fabrics, single knitting machine is classified into single plain knitting machine, three wire wool knitting machine and single terry machine. Track, triangle and other parts have realized standardization and generalization. Parts on those types knitting machine provided by different manufacturers can be changed easily from one type to another type. An engineering technicians only spends 2 hours or 3 hours completing exchange.

3.Exchange of double knitting machine
Double circular knitting machine is generally classified into rib knitting machine and interlock machine. According to different structure of triangle, changing the position of triangle can converse rib or linter, rib composite tissue or linter composite tissue, such as Milano rib, polyester cover cotton and honeycomb mesh. Besides the exchange between rib and linter, multi-function double circular knitting machine can also exchange different tissues to change categories easily.

To adapt the conversion, multi-function double circular knitting machine is added with channeling triangle, besides conventional looping, tuck stitch and loose stitch. Sync or lag stitch cam is caused during looping. When channeling triangle is used for knitting single fabrics, stitch cam on cylinder uses sync or lag stitch cam to knit linter or wide rib.

4.Exchange of number and path
Using the same circular knitting machine can knit fabrics with different thickness for seasons. Changing number is meaningful for manufacturers. To meet the demands of fabric producers, manufacturers have simplified the exchange of cylinder and dial. For example, when transforming X-pattern track into V-pattern track, cylinder should be replaced from top. Now, the cylinder can be replaced from side without disassembling machine. Triangle and yarn guide do not need to be replaced, when interlock machine changed between E18~E28.

New Chemical Fiber Textile Materials (Ⅰ)

Tencel fiber: Tencel fiber is made of natural wood pulp. Wood pulp is dissolved into amine oxide solvent and then spun into yarn directly. As a new cellulose solvent, amine oxide solvent can be recycled without any toxicity or pollution to environment. Besides drapability, etc. The fiber has elegant texture, good breathability and moisture penetrability, being widely used as raw materials of haute couture. Sea island fiber: Sea island fiber is made of sea island superfine fiber and high shrinkage precursor by composite spinning technology. Suede being made of sea island fiber has high flexibility, good elasticity, antibiosis and strong breathability, is a kind of fabric having good anti wrinkle, is ideal raw materials for jacket, wind coat, vest, skirt, shoes, curtain, etc. It can also be used as wiping cloth to clean air plane, precision instrument and computer.

Modal fiber: Modal fiber is made of pulp. Producing of pulp and fiber cannot cause pollution to environment. Modal fiber has high strength and high wet coefficient. It combines with texture of natural fiber and practicability of artificial fiber, having softness, luster, slippery. Breathability of modal fiber is better than cotton. It can be processed on traditional dying and finishing equipments, having high degree of exhaustion. Clothes made of modal fiber have good drapability and dimensional stability. It can still maintain vivid colors and used as raw materials for designer clothes. Modal fiber comes from nature. It will be dissolved and return to nature.

Acetate fiber: Acetate fiber is made of natural pulp after being extracted. It is a kind of semi-synthetic fiber combing with style of natural fiber and the functions of synthetic fiber. It has good dimensional stability, sheen, cooling and drapability like silk. Acetate fiber also has good softness. With natural fiber and synthetic fiber, acetate fiber is knitted into various fabrics such as acetate/glue, acetate/cotton and acetate/spun silk. Acetate fiber is popular for women swear.

Soybean fiber: Soybean used as forage and fertilizer before, can be also used to knit into cloth. Soybean fiber is called as artificial cashmere. Soybean fiber is made of vegetable protein extracted from bean pulp. Soybean fiber has light specific gravity, high elongation and feelings and heat retention like cashmere. Soybean fiber is ideal materials for expansive underwear, cashmere sweater, casual dress, suits, etc.

Classification of Textiles (Ⅱ)

Jacquard: Jacquard is a kind of textile whose surface has decorative patterns. Jacquard is made of cotton, cotton yarn or yarn. Those decorative patterns distribute on the surface of jacquard. Denim: Denim is also called as jean. Denim is raw materials for labor suit and jeans. It is a kind of damask made of coarse yarn. Denim can be dyed into navy blue. Floating point is on frontage. Denim has the advantages of tight texture and wearing resistance. Denim has elasticity and soft fell after being processed. Besides labor suit, denim is raw materials for jeans and casual dress.

Washer wrinkle fabric: Washer wrinkle fabric is developed for popularization of washing clothes. Washer is dyed and finished. The textile is processed to show style like having been washed. So the textile is named as washer wrinkle fabric. Washer wrinkle fabric has the characteristics of soft feel, stable size. Washer wrinkle fabric is made from coat, shirt, one-piece dress and pajamas.

Velvet: Velvet is made of warp or weft. Short and smooth naps exist on the surface of velvet. The advantages of velvet include tight textile, smooth surface, soft feelings, excellent heat retention and wearing resistance. Velvet has two categories: velveteen being napped of warp and weft velvet being napped of weft. Velveteen having long naps is commonly used for cushion in train, shell fabric of sofa and curtain. Weft velvet is used as raw materials for clothes and decorative clothes.

Corduroy: Corduroy is a kind of textiles whose surface present wick fine hair. Corduroy has characteristics of plum fine hair, wearing resistance and good heat retention. Corduroy is initiated in Lyons, France, 1750. Based on yarns, corduroy can be classified into whole yarn corduroy and semi yarn corduroy. Based on materials, corduroy can be classified into purified cotton corduroy, cotton corduroy. Corduroy has wide usage. It is used as raw materials for clothes, dress, jeans, children’s garments, shoes, hats, home decoration, etc. Corduroy can not be rubbed with hot water. Otherwise it can also not be ironed after being ironed, in case of molting and trichiasis.

Debugging of Double Circular Knitting Machine

1.Upper dial and lower syringe adjustment

  • Loosen lower syringe and lifting ring on machine. Use dial gage to adjust concentricity of syringe to grail. Adjust and lock eccentric positioning wheel. Then, lock the screws.
  • Loosen all of connecting screws on feet and pot.
  • Put dial gage on the surface of upper dial. Gauge outfit points to external diameter of lower syringe. Adjust regulating screws on the feet to make reading of dial gage less than 0.05mm.
  • Lock connecting screws on pot. Reading of dial gage should be kept below 0.05mm.

2.Roughness of upper dial and lower syringe adjustment

  • Adjust the gap between upper gear of main transmission and gear on pot.
  • Put dial gauge on the lower syringe. Gauge outfit points to the surface of upper dial.
  • Start machine and observe reading on dial gauge. If reading is higher than 0.05mm, loosen connecting screws on pot. Turn 6 crack screws and put gasket under screws. Lock connecting screws.

3.Needles adjustment

  • Adjust four regulating screws on the gear of main transmission. Rotate gear on pot to an angle. Adjust upper dial and lower syringe to required position.

4. The height of upper dial adjustment

  • Loosen three fastening screws on upper dial. Rotate gear. Then dial will rise. Lock fastening screws after adjustment. Note: Dial cannot fall too low which may caused damage to needle. Before lowing dial, the height should be low than required height. Then push the dial back to required height in case of damage caused by falling needle when machine starting.

5. Time difference of triangle adjustment

  • Loosen three fastening screws on upper dial. Adjust two screws on the permanent seat of triangle. Then triangle on upper dial will rotate. Lock three fastening screws after adjusting.

6. Triangle adjustment

  • Uniform tension improves the quality of textile. Resetting the position of needles can acquire uniform tension.
  • Use tensioner to measure tension on every yarn.
  • Use hexagon spanner to turn calibrator on triangle
  • Inspect and adjust the tension on every yarn.

7. Needle point adjustment

  • Loosen connecting screws on triangle and lifting ring. Rotate crack screw to raise the whole lifting ring. Put equal gasket under every connecting screws. Then the needle point will rise.

Structure of Circular Weft Knitting Machine

Structure of circular weft knitting machine consists of frame, yarn mechanism, transmission gear, lubricating eliminating mechanism, electric control system, spooler and other accessories.

Frame
Frame of circular weft knitting machine consists of three feet and a round (or square) table. Three feet are fixed by gin. There three crutches on the table. Crutches have yarn holder. A safe door exits in the gap between three feet for steady and safety.

Yarn mechanism
Yarn mechanism contains yarn holder, storage device, feeding nozzle, feeding wheel, coil bracket, etc.
Yarn holder
Yarn holder is used to lay yarn. It is classified into umbrella yarn holder and landing yarn hold. Umbrella has small cover. But it cannot connect to spare yarn. It is suitable for limited space. Landing yarn holder has triangle yarn holder and wall yarn holder. Triangle yarn holder is convenient for utilizing. Wall yarn holder can be arranged beautifully. But it has large cover.

Storage device
Storage device is used to store yarn.

Feeding nozzle
Feeding nozzle is used to transmit yarn to needle directly. It has different shapes, including single feeding nozzle and double feeding nozzle.

Feeding wheel
Feeding wheel is used to regulate the number of yarn.

Requirements for yarn mechanism
Yarn mechanism should guarantee uniformity and continuity of tension in yarn. Ensure uniformity for the sizes and shape of coil in textile so that can produce beautiful textile.
Yarn mechanism should ensure reasonable tension in case of defects on the surface of textile.
Hook should be smooth without burrs in case of yarn broken.

Knitting mechanism
Knitting mechanism is the core of circular weft knitting machine, consisting of syringe, needle, triangle, triangulum, sinker (only exiting in single circular knitting machine), etc.

Syringe
Syringe is used to put needle.

2. Triangle
Triangle is used to control reciprocating motion of needles and sinker inside syringe

Sinker
Sinker only exists in single circular knitting machine, cooperating with needles.

Needle
Needle is discriminated based on the height of bell. Needle makes tarn into textile.

Triangulum
Triangulum is utilized to put triangle

Requirements for knitting mechanism
Needle track should be smooth without burrs
Knob used to regulate pressing depth on triangulum should be flexible enough.
Ensure the height of withdrawing and the depth of pressing to meet the requirements of techniques.

Spooler
Spooler is used to drag textile from knitting and wind textile in roll form. Spooler consists of spreading frame, transmission arm, regulate gear box.

Transmission mechanism
Transmission mechanism is continuously variable transmitting motor controlled by frequency transformer. The motor uses cone belt or synchronous belt to drive gears on capstan shaft. It drives syringe to knit.

Lubricating eliminating mechanism
Large numbers of flyings and dust may cause occlusion or damage to machine during knitting. Lubricating eliminating mechanism is used to eliminate dust and dredge oil way.

Electrical control system
Control panel of electrical control system is made up with microcomputer and highly integrated control circuit.
Frequency transformer is key components of motor. It can control output frequency to change the rotation rate of motor.

Accessories
When needle is broken, prober will send signal to control system. Then machine will stop after 0.5 seconds.
