Factors Influencing on Yarn Dyeing

Yarn dyeing differs from knit dyeing or woven dyeing. During dyeing, textile engineer should do all the work as per schedule and give deep concern on every procedure. If any faults occur, then it will have influence on the whole dyeing process. The following factors should be considered during dyeing.

Batch:
Batching should be done to cotton knitting fabrics and jacquard knitting fabrics.
Package after pressing should be unified.
Package cap should be tight in case of loosing during operation in the dye bath.

Pressure:
Pressure on machine should be maintained the same. If pressure varies during dyeing, it will impact on the following package.
Pressure should be maintained during in and out process.

PH:
PH is one of the most important factors during dyeing. The following is the PH which should be maintained for cotton knitting fabrics.
After salt mixing: PH 6-6.5
After soda mixing: PH 11-1.5. PH should be neutral after mixing soda

Check:
→Every step of operation should be checked.
→Checking sample
● Bleaching (Residue H2O2, Absorbency check)
● Color migration (Level check)
● Dyeing
● Washing
● Finishing
→Check water level
→Check carrier batch after opening the lip.
→Check time and temperature.

Measurement:
Operator should be aware of the measurement because even a small mistake can vary the shade of materials.
● Dyes measurement
● Chemical measurement
● Water measurement
● Time measurement
● Temperature measurement
